On Saturday, May 30th, Willards Little League enjoyed a night out with the Shorebirds.  Before the game started, our players participated in a parade around the field as parents and fans cheered them on.

After our players left the field and headed back to their seats, Isiah Jones from the Dodgers was asked to head out to the pitcher’s mound to throw out the ceremonial first pitch!  Although we didn’t advertise this as a reward for the hitting derby, Isiah went above and beyond during his fundraising efforts – raising over $500 by himself!!!  Isiah did a great job and threw a perfect change-up right over the plate!  Way to go Isiah!

After the first pitch, Isiah rejoined his Dodgers teammates just in time to take the field with the Shorebirds as their reward for raising the most money as a team.

Even though the Shorebirds lost, everyone had a great time and enjoyed a spectacular fireworks show!
